Shannon & Doolin, in photos

In October, after running a half marathon in Paris Disney, we went to Ireland to explore the scenic countryside. This week, we take a look at our first two stops, Shannon and Doolin, including the famous cliffs of Moher.

Our first stop was a castle, of course!
The castle grounds had a nice garden.
We’re suckers for ivy, especially when it turns colors in the fall.
Classic Irish stone wall and a horse. We rode horses in the wind and rain!
Couldn’t believe the view when we arrived at our charming B&B. See the cliffs of Moher in the background.
Double rainbow all the way across the sky!
And the pot of gold at the end?
The cliffs of Moher were absolutely stunning.
A different area of cliffs.
Sunset over the water. Nice, dramatic lighting.
Sunset striking the cliffs.
A small collection of people gather to watch the sun disappear into the ocean.
It’s very serene despite the wind and rain.
Goodbye cliffs!

That it for this week. Come back next week for photos from the rest of trip!
